Moira Buffini’s hilarious play reimagines the private conversations that took place between Queen Elizabeth II and Margaret Thatcherduring their tenure as the UK's monarch and Prime Minister respectively.

Set against the backdrop of the 1980s, the play cleverly explores their complex and contrasting personalities, political ideologies,and the collision of monarchy and government.

With a touch of satire and sharp dialogue, Handbagged presents a delightful, quirky look at the intersection of power and gender as well as the historic events that shaped the era and the United Kingdom's destiny.
