Subscriber Information

 

It’s been challenging for all of us to have an empty theatre waiting for audiences to return. We are hopeful that in 2021 we will be in a position to safely open our doors to our members and friends. But, until we are all clear on what this means for all of us, you will understand that we cannot announce a full production list for 2021 at this stage.

What we can advise you, however, is that it is our intention to have productions up and running in our space as soon as this is physically possible. Announcements will be made via this forum and on our website and social media platforms.

Whilst we hope this happens sooner rather than later, we are very aware of the challenges we face in our little performance space and can confirm that there will not be a production in our usual Play 1 season in February. By making this decision early, we believe this will give us the time we need to put our COVID safe plans in place and ensure that when we do open later in the year this will be something we will be able to share more widely with all of you.

Because we are not running a normal five production season, we will not be using our usual subscription format. Tickets for each production will, therefore, be sold individually via a new and improved ticketing platform. Full details of this will be provided to you as soon as we have our first production dates locked in and there will be plenty of time for you to secure tickets.

We understand that this will be a little different for many of you who have gotten very used to picking up the playbill subscription form from the foyer and filling it in with great glee and anticipation. We do expect the glee and anticipation  to be equally exciting when we make our next announcements.

Until then, and as the little birds on our front door poster say, "Hang on in there".

Subscriptions are not done by phone...after selecting the plays you want to see, simply print out and fill in the subscriber form and send it with your cheque or credit card payment details to:

Due to the high demand for tickets, we can't guarantee your first choice of dates and seats, but we'll do our best! Subscriptions are done in order of receipt. 

 

Include your email address on the form and you will receive our monthly newsletter Cues & News, which will keep you up to date with WLT activities and productions and ensure you receive the next subscriber Playbill.

Wheelchair booking

We can accommodate a wheelchair and seat for a friend, but please book them early in the season by phoning Robert Harsley, preferably by 1 January. You can tick a box on the subscription form. As soon as seating for each performance reaches capacity, those seats are sold.

Opening Nights

The audience at each Opening Night is invited to join us for a complimentary supper after the show, where they can meet the director, cast and crew in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

 

Can't use your Ticket/s?

Our seasons often sell out so there are generally people hoping they can get tickets. If you know a few days or weeks ahead of time that you will be unable to use your tickets, PLEASE CONTACT ROBERT HARSLEY (contact details above) so he can make them available online.

Otherwise, on the day please inform Front of House on arrival or call 9397 6705 half an hour before show starts so that your ticket can be re-allocated to those waiting. If we sell it, we will refund you.

 

NOTE: The theatre phone is only answered for a half hour before show starts, and does not record messages. Call between 7.30pm-8pm (4.15pm-4.45pm on Sundays) to let us know if you are not using your ticket.  

 

Season Sold Out? What can you do?
  • Check online bookings approx. 3 weeks before opening... more seats will be released for sale;

  • If that is unsuccessful, ring Robert Harsley 0447 340 665 and ask to be placed on a wait list;

  • Keep checking the online bookings: seats are put online when tickets are returned;

  • Keep an eye on WLT Facebook page: Robert posts when returned tickets are available;

  • If you live nearby, you can call into the theatre around 8pm (or 4.45 Sundays) and speak to Front of House who will list your name ... tickets that aren't being used that performance are quite frequently handed in, and will be sold in the list order.

                                            Subscribers are always welcome for dinner at Prince Albert Hotel

                                            (cnr Albert St & Douglas Pde, opposite the theatre) where you’ll be well                                                      looked after. Make sure you tell staff you are attending the theatre and they                                               will ensure timely service.  Show your ticket and you will receive a                                                               complimentary glass of wine.
