Another 70th Birthday Event

The second of our three 'Pleasant Sunday Afternoons' will take place on Sunday 8th May. Entitled 'A Bakery Doth a Theatre Make', it takes us into the Albert Street era and covers 1969 to 1990.

The very first production in our Albert St theatre was 'Barefoot in the Park' and Ellis Ebell will share some memories of that.

WLT legends take the stage to reprise some scenes they performed... Ray and Rosemary Hare, Maggie McInnes, Marian Sinclair, Les Terrill and Bryan Thomas.

These excepts include a scene from 'Journey's End' and 'Equus', and an Australian musical... but you'll have to be there to find out which one!

Admission is free, no bookings required, and it starts at 2pm and is followed by afternoon tea.

There will be a display of archival memorabilia to trigger all those memories...and anecdotes!

May 8 is Mothers' Day, so bring your mum! Treat her to Mothers' Day lunch at the Prince Albert Hotel first! Bookings for lunch: 9397 5117.
